Over the last week, I have had a number of terrific conversations about burning health care issues. One of them centered around the lack of understanding by just about everyone outside of the medical field that the solution to our problems surrounding “Access to Health Care” can’t mean only forcibly available health insurance.
The root of America’s healthcare crisis revolves around the simple fact that we spend too much money on providing the wrong kinds of care and the wrong kind of medical education. This guy, who is much smarter (and far more qualified) than I, explains it well over here: Dr. Len’s Cancer Blog.

That’s some great information from Dr. Len’s Blog. From a health insurance agent’s perspective, a LOT can be said about the need for better, more affordable education of the most important contributing members of our society, our doctors!
Forcibly available health insurance is just begging for trouble. While there are many people convinced that paying a company to pay for their health care costs seems like a “waste of money,” the truth is that higher medical costs are bankrupting self-employed, uninsured individuals and families.
There’s actually a way to have better coverage and saving money at the same time, believe it or not. There’s an article on this:

Maybe this helps to elaborate on some of the problems from an Insurance Agent’s perspective. I hope so.
