I have a big, important, extremely stressful meeting tomorrow, for which I’ve been prepping for a month and then some. It’s a team negotiation and my work touches nearly two-thirds of the items up for discussion — and I’m new at the process, and absolutely capable of a royal screwup. “Nervous” is a bit of an understatement.
It’s therefore understandable that I lay awake until sometime after 3:00 in the morning, knowing that my alarm was set for 5:31, agonizing. Understandable, but really quite stupid.
Bodes well for Monday, doesn’t it?
On that note, I’ve dropped the “A Week in the Life” photo meme. I’ll hold onto it for when I’m on vacation in two weeks, but photography composition is not something I can think about today.

Lis, You don’t give yourself enough credit. You present yourself very well and you argue your points eloquently. You may not wind up with exactly what you want but that is what negotiation is all about…the art of compromise. Choose your battles wisely grasshopper.

Thanks, Mom. I love you.
