I’ll be in NYC on July 1 and 2 with Mom and Dad, staying at a hotel near Times Square, wandering neighborhoods and getting a feel for where I might want to live, and visiting the jewelry and gem shops on a materials spree for The FamiLee Jewels.
Neighborhoods I’m definitely visiting on this trip: Chelsea, the East Village, and Murray Hill, and Dumbo if we cross the bridge. They interest me because of proximity to work and work-related events, entertainment and organized activities that are on my must-do life list, some of the lifestyle amenities I’m looking for, and because of the neighborhood character that I’ve read about.
Other suggestions or tips? Any of you NYC-based people (I’m looking at you, Clay) going to be around in two weeks?

Oh, heavens yes. Second and third days of rehearsal for the new show. Looking forward to seeing you!

@Clay
Fabulous! Mom and Dad are headed to the sports bar filled with Mickey Mantle memorabilia at some point — let’s chat and schedule that trip for when you’re free, and I’ll pop off the subway wherever you are to catch up.
